Yet, life can sometimes seem overwhelming for children who face the challenges of autism, Down syndrome, attention deficit disorder, sensory integration disorder, physical disabilities, learning disorders or other health or developmental difficulties.

Here at The Therapy Place, we offer a multitude of therapies, programs and services to help children overcome their developmental or physical limitations and reach their full potential. Since opening our doors in 2001, we’ve helped change the lives of hundreds of infants, toddlers, children and adolescents. The Therapy Place team includes highly trained and licensed occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists and program assistants, each of whom shares a genuine love and concern for children. In addition, our 3,000-square-foot facility promotes an image of fun, warmth and friendship. Our kid-friendly environment helps children enjoy themselves, plus it can help maximize the effectiveness of their therapy.

Finally, we pride ourselves on providing children with the individual attention they deserve. Our average children-to-adult ratio is 5:1, and we utilize one-on-one therapy sessions as needed. While children appreciate the friendliness, compassion and attention they receive at The Therapy Place, they are truly amazed at how fun our facility is. It’s equipped with everything to make their therapy as enjoyable and effective as possible, including:

• A 3,000-square-foot children’s therapy center with a full-size classroom/computer lab, sensory-friendly classrooms, skill center, full kitchen, five separate treatment rooms, a large table for group cooking and art and an indoor play gym for strength and conditioning, complete with parallel bars, weights, scooters and balance equipment.

• A fun-filled playground with swings, slides, sandboxes, water tables and trampoline. In addition to being handicapped-accessible, our playground is fenced-in to put kids’ safety first.

• Plus, we make kids feel special by having fun-filled birthday parties, “movie days” and lots of art, music and cooking groups for them to participate in.
